Mike Westwood, Head Coach   


Mike Westwood hails from Rockville, MD. Where he has been coaching diving on and off since 1993. Mike was a full scholarship winner at Penn State where he qualified for NCAA and senior national championships. As a coach, Mike is a three-time head coach of the USA Diving national team. He has traveled with the USA team to Russia, Germany, Hong Kong, and China. Mike is currently the head lessons coach at Montgomery dive club in Silver Spring Maryland. 

In his spare time, Mike is professional musician and if you’re lucky, you might be able to go out and see him perform live this summer! 

Elena Ferat, Assistant Coach

ELENA FERAT Elena has been a diver at Seven Locks Swim and Dive Club since she was 7 years old. She has also participated in year-round diving through MDC (Montgomery Dive Club) and Alexandria Dive Club (ADC). During her time at Seven Locks, she has consistently qualified for Divisionals every year and All Stars for 4 years. Elena has been the recipient of the highest points award for her age group at Seven Locks for the last 9 years. Outside of diving, she is a rising junior at Rochambeau, the French International School where she is also on the Varsity soccer and basketball teams. Seven Locks is her home away from home and she loves mentoring and teaching younger divers every aspect of diving from breaking down the approach, to executing a perfect entry as well as managing stress during crucial meets. Elena is looking forward to helping each diver improve their score this season, but most importantly to have FUN at Seven Locks this summer!  

Bella Wheeler, Assistant Coach

From an early start at Seven Locks Swim and Dive Club, Bella has grown into a dedicated and experienced diver, building skills both at Seven Locks and through year-round diving at DDC (Dominion Dive Club), ADC (Alexandria Dive Club), and MDC (Montgomery Dive Club). Over the years, Bella has stood out by consistently qualifying for Divisionals and earning a spot at All Stars for the past four years, demonstrating both commitment and steady improvement. Outside the pool, Bella is a rising sophomore at Walt Whitman High School, where she plays lacrosse and volleyball at the competitive level through Metro Volleyball Club. Bella is excited to support each diver in reaching their goals and improving their scores, but most importantly, she is committed to creating a fun and positive environment where everyone can build confidence and make lasting memories this summer.
